We are currently located in the town of Clyde, Ohio in Sandusky County located in Northwestern Ohio about 20 miles SouthWest of Lake Erie.
Our ALPACAS are located 20 miles away near the town of Lindsey, west of Fremont, at our rented "Imaginary's Pastures'. We finally leased a property from a farmer with a barn, paddock, and pastures with shelters and trees rather than agist our growing herd.
We currently have 18 soon to be 19 alpacas, mostly huacayas, but 2 suri girls and 3 of their male offspring and an unrelated male herdsire.
Our herd is made up of mostly full peruvian dams, some other heritages. Here in Ohio, it's 'little peru' and for some reason it is touted that full peruvians is all people want in alpacas or better yet full Accoyo's! After 2 years in the business, we've decided to really look at what we have based on bone, conformation, fleece charateristics & shearing wts, easy births, rebreeds, strong crias and not on country of ancestors origins.
We have a colorful herd and have bred the girls to some nice studs (aka Simba a Caligula son, Shades of Grey a Silverado son, Snowmass Infinity, Cactus Jack (both Futurity winners) and are now waiting those cria. But we continue to research the different lines for high follicular density (El Nino??) with maintained fineness (thats hard to find without everyone pulling micron tests!).
We have time to talk alpacas and exchange research and information most anytime. Feel free to call us or email us.
