In 2007 there were approximately 51 Alpaca Owners and Breeders in the State of Tennessee according to the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (AOBA). Tenneessee Alpaca Ranches are represented by the Southeastern Alpaca Association (SeAA) as well as the Midwest Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association MOPACA which represents Alpaca Farms and Alpaca Ranches in Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucy, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. SeAA also represents Alpaca Ranchers in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina and sponsors the annual Southern Select Alpaca Show.
