Can I advertise on your website? |
AlpacaTrack does not accept paid advertising from Livestock
owners. We will accept advertising from companies and organizations that will
benefit all of our members. AlpacaTrack's primary source of income is from
paid AlpacaTrack membership. |

Why should I consider a paid membership? |
AlpacaTrack members that choose one of our paid offerings
get prioritized
listings on our home page and sales pages. Each time a page
is visited, a random member's ranch and/or livestock is displayed. Also, more
features are offered for our paid members. |

I have customers that I would like to help. Can
multiple users access the same ranch? |
A ranch owner can allow another user access to their ranch
information. This is often helpful as a new livestock owner becomes familiar
with AlpacaTrack. The primary owner can revoke the usage privleges at any
time. |

What if I just want to share some of my Alpacas? |
In many situations, Alpacas are co-owned with other ranches.
In this situation, the basic livestock information can be shared much like sharing
a ranch. Livestock sales information is associated with the ranch address.
In this manner, multiple descriptions and/or prices can be entered for the same
Alpaca as long as the ranch address is different. Only the ranch entering
the sales and description information can change it, however either owner can change
basic information about the Alpaca. For instance, if one ranch enters breeding
information for an Alpaca, the due date and herdsire information will be available
on the other ranch's sales list. |
I noticed that I can sort on most things, but not price.
Why is that? |
As part of our goal to promote your ranch and not the
cheapest livestock in the industry, we specifically decided not to allow sorting
by price.

How do I create my website? |
We've made it easy to write your own website. If
you can use a word processor, you should have no trouble creating a website that
is distinctively yours. You can include links, images, tables, and lists as
well as text in multiple sizes and colors. You have full control of the source
html, so you can even imbed sales information from other sites (although we hope
you will use our sales features) |
Is there a limit to the number of livestock that I can
create? |
Absolutely not. Our single price includes all the
livestock that you have. There is one restriction. Each livestock entry
must have a unique name and registration number. Although you can share livestock
with other ranches, you cannot create a duplicate entry. |
I noticed that my Ranch and some of my livestock
is already on AlpacaTrack. How did this happen? |
AlpacaTrack staff and members may enter livestock that
is not theirs to create Parent/Child relationships as well as breeding information
if the livestock has not already been entered. Also, AlpacaTrack staff enters
information from livestock shows which are automatically associated with your livestock!

Some of the livestock that shows up in my Ranch
is not mine. What do I do? |
You can transfer livestock into and out of your ranch
through our livestock transfer features. If the ranch is "unknown" or is not
an Alpacatrack member, the transfer occurs automatically. If the livestock
is associated with a member ranch, the ranch must approve the transfer. |
Can I include search engine optimization information
in my website? |
Yes. You may include a Title, Description, and Keywords
for each page in your website.

Can I include due dates and herdsire information? |
Yes. These features are available with our premium
package. The due date will appear on the sales listing, and herdsire information
will be displayed on the livestock detail page. |
I noticed that you have livestock other than Alpacas
on your website. Why is that? |
Although we concentrate on Alpacas, many Alpaca owners
have other livestock. This allows them to store and sell various types of
livestock in a single location.
