In 2007 there were approximately 172 Alpaca Owners and Breeders in the State of Oregon according to the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (AOBA). Alpaca Farms and Ranches in Oregon are represented by the State of Jefferson Alpaca Association (SOJAA) which also represents ranches in California. Oregon hosts AlpacaMania in October which is sponsored by the State of Jefferson Alpaca Association.
