In 2007 there were approximately 41 Alpaca Owners and Breeders in the State of Connecticut according to the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (AOBA). Connecticut Alpaca Farms and Alpaca Ranches are represented by the New England Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (NEOBA). NEOBA also includes Alpaca Farms and Alpaca Ranches from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
