Mike Pollock has been a "Part Time" Alpaca owner and breeder since 2004 with his wife Peggy and 15 year old daughter Jamie.
Mike has over 30 years experience in Information Technology and is presently a member of the Global Enterprise Architecture team at Dell, Inc. Prior to joining Dell in 2000, Mike had a privately held software development company specializing in Medical Billing software applications and web development. In addition to his day to day duties, Mike has found time to develop AlpacaTrack.com, a web based tool for Alpaca Owners and Breeders, and several other websites.
His volunteer work in the Alpaca Industry includes his work with ARI on the I/T committee, helping Peggy with the TxOLAN fashion show in 2006, and he is presently this year's TxOLAN Auction Administrator.
Mike will be presenting his views on "Building and Protecting your Virtual Assets on the Internet". The presentation will cover basic strategy in web site design, Search Engine Optimization techniques to get your site more visible, leveraging Software as a Service (Saas), and email marketing best (and worst) practices.
